Games and Play Studies (“Spielforschung” in German) is an interdisciplinary research field, that embraces academic activities in sociology, history, anthropology, media studies, and philosophy. Our group consists of more than 50 scholars affiliated with various universities, art academies or research centres in Austria, Switzerland and Germany.
