Roland Graf
Roland Graf is a media artist, designer, and inventor. He is currently a Professor at the University of Michigan’s Stamps School of Art & Design. His research bridges art, design, and engineering to prototype new worlds where playfulness and inclusion reconfigure human, spatial, and material encounters. He directs interdisciplinary collaborations such as iGYM, an augmented reality system for inclusive play that received the Best Paper Award at CHI Play 2019. As a co-founder of the artist collective Assocreation, he has exhibited his interactive installations and urban interventions at venues including Ars Electronica, the Bienal de Valencia, and the Museum of Modern Art in Warsaw. His work has been recognized, among others, with a Prix Ars Electronica Distinction and an Excellence Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival.
